THE TRIP
A 3-day canoe trip to connect and create with like-minded
artists, creatives and entrepreneurs in Algonquin Park.

 

KEY FOCUS

Immersed in the fall colours of Algonquin Park, we will focus on two key things:

1. SOLO STUDIO TIME: Dedicated time to work on your creative practice, passion project or business idea.  

2. CONNECTIONS: Sharing experiences and getting inspired with creative jam sessions and campfire conversations.

FEES

$450 INCLUDES:

  • Location permits
  • Canoes, PFDs (lifejackets), paddles
  • Guided canoe trip and activities
  • Food, drinks, snacks (excluding day 1 lunch/day 3 dinner)
  • Group gear rentals (tents, sleeping bags etc.)
  • Participant feature on Outdoor Studio’s social channels (optional)

DOES NOT INCLUDE:

  • Transportation to and from the put-in point at The Portage Store
  • Parking fees at Algonquin Park
  • Personal items or flashlights/headlamps
  • Day 1 Lunch or Day 3 Dinner

ITINERARY

 

DAY 1 (FRI, SEPT 29)

  • Meet up at The Portage Store for a canoe safety and skills session  
  • Paddle across Canoe Lake and arrive at campsite 
  • Camp set up and orientation
  • Intention setting for solo studio time  
  • Dinner and collective creative jam session by the campfire 
  • Stargazing and connecting by the campfire [optional]

DAY 2 (SAT, SEPT 30)

  • Paddle to waterfalls [optional]
  • Solo studio time 
  • Afternoon activities like hiking, learning about wild edibles/making tea, carving bowls etc. [optional]
  • Dinner and sharing around the campfire 
  • Nighttime paddle to stargaze [optional- weather dependent]

DAY 3 (SUN, OCT 1)

  • Solo studio time 
  • Camp take down
  • Paddle back to The Portage Store  
  • Final collective jam session and sharing

Itinerary is not final, and is subject to change.

We include optional activities to make sure we have a flexible schedule,
so you can get the most out of your trip based on your personal goals and preferences. 

 
 

TRANSPORTATION

There are many options available to get to the access point in Algonquin Park, The Portage Store.
If you drive or carpool, you can park it at the store for a fee per vehicle.

You could also use Parkbus to get from Toronto to Algonquin. Toronto departure points include:
5 Old York Mills Road, 30 Carlton Street, 1126 Bloor West, and HWY400 & Major Mac. See Parkbus for more information.

All transportation and parking fees are not included in the cost of the trip.
